My name is Sean Mack, I am from the village of King Cove, an amazing place on the lower Alaska Peninsula (see map below). I also spent about 15 years in the Seattle area, graduating from the University of Washington with a double major of History and Anthropology. After graduating from UW, I attended Idaho State University, receiving a Master's Degree in Anthropology, and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Geotechnologies. I also have a Master's in GIS from Penn State. I have been doing Archaeology in Alaska for almost 20 years. In that time, I have been fortunate enough to visit some beautiful, remote locations and meet many interesting people. About 5 years ago, I began documenting the locations I get to travel to through photography. This site showcases some of the unique archaeological work locations I travel to, and will also document road trips, National Park visits, and "bucket list" locations from around the world.
